Skilled Trades Ontario (STO) is working with the Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) Program to help clients who have various learning challenges.
Attached is some information about opportunities to become a tutor for various trades. These are paid positions (hourly rate and mostly part time) and if you are interested and feel you are a good fit, please check it out. Becoming a mentor/tutor is a great way to give back to the trade, help aspiring journeypersons obtain their certification and make a few dollars on the side.
The rate of pay is dependent on experience and that is negotiated with VLS staff and not STO.
Anyone interested please contact the VLS group directly through the email address on the attached Tutor Card, and you must have a Certificate of Qualification (CofQ) in your trade to be eligible to participate in this program.
